Hotel Accommodations
Built in 1869, our Historic Penn Wells Hotel, located at 62 Main Street, is an iconic marker of downtown Wellsboro. From the flower boxes that hang along Main Street outside the front lobby windows to the neon red PENN WELLS sign on the roof, you cannot miss it as you enter the gaslit center of Wellsboro, PA. The interior of the Hotel portrays an elegance of earlier times, with mahogany woodwork, deep colors, and a large wood-burning fireplace in the Lobby. Hotel guests enjoy easy access to our in-Hotel restaurant and lounge. A complimentary breakfast is provided in the Mary Wells Room Monday through Saturday and Hotel guests staying on Saturday night are treated to a fabulous Sunday Brunch, which is now included in the price of the room.
Every guestroom in the Hotel is unique in some way, but the rooms are notable for their period architectural features, such as high ceilings and mahogany woodwork. Guestrooms and bathrooms tend to be smaller as was the norm in 1869.
