Today I got to visit with a friend for lunch in Hershey, and got some good Christmas shopping done there. While driving up, listening to good music, I found a new cd I purchased a month or so ago titled “A Place to Land” by Little Big Town. They are an AMAZING country band who does this phenomenal harmony. I’ve listened to this cd a few times, but today was the first day I REALLY heard the lyrics to this song. It’s titled “Lonely Enough” and WOW. It describes the thoughts EVERY widow thinks, but that we’re sometimes scared to pray, or plead, to God. It’s what we feel to the letter. It’s hurtful, and deep, and sorrowful, but it fully acknowledges the battle we have. It’s such a unique battle, because for those who have faith, we know that our loved ones are with God, living an amazing eternal life. But, at the same time, we miss them so dearly, and we don’t want to face this life without them here. We know the miracles of which God is capable, and often want to plead with him to change what has come about. This song is what I feel a LOT of days….but still I have faith.
